Trad Is Rad Weekends

Join Ground Up Climbing Guides for a “Trad Is Rad” climbing weekend.

Traditional climbing, commonly called trad climbing, is the sought after end goal for many climbers. The sense of freedom and self-reliance felt after a challenging trad pitch is unique in the world of outdoor sports.

The learning curve can be steep and risky. But it doesn’t have to be.

Our Trad Climbing Weekends will give you the skills and know-how to seek out the sharp end of the rope on those magical trad routes that have called to you since you first tied in.

We’ll camp near Benton Crags (30 minutes from Mammoth Lakes) and have two full days of climbing, learning and laughing. We strongly suggest folks plan to arrive Friday evening to get settled in and a prompt start Saturday morning. You are responsible for your camping kit and food but we’ll have a community kitchen and lots of laughs.

Cost: $410 per person

Cost includes all necessary climbing gear and professional guiding.
